HypnotherapyPower Yoga describes the popular adaptation of Ashtanga Yoga for the fitness conscious practitioner. This form of Yoga links high-energy breathing together in a sweat-inducing series of challenging Yoga Asanas (postures). Even though this form of Yoga is still deeply seated in yoga philosophy, its physically challenging aspect makes this a great introduction to Yoga for the highly athletic who might be challenged by the slower more contemplative forms of Yoga.
Asana (posture) aims to optimally align body structure, training body awareness. Power yoga will strengthen, condition and tone both stabalising and mobilising muscles as well as their corresponding ligaments and tendons. When the practice of Asana is used with Pranayama (breath control), the body’s vitality increases along with an improved blood circulatory and respiratory system.
Classes are suitable for students with any level of experience. The series of postures are designed to be adaptable to each individual’s level of experience.
